Feasibility studies

SCOPE

The E-site    concept is in principle suitable for any outdoor site. It can be a new site or an existing site. However, in order to assist operators we offer feasibility studies providing plans for what sites are suitable for E-site   from a business point of view.
A complete feasibility study consists of three steps – new sites, planned sites and existing sites – and can include complete power-management reviews.
Advanced modelling tools are used to predict outcome from E-sites, using wind and solar data from the areas investigated.

METHODOLOGY AND APPROACH

Pilar

1. PRE-STUDY– Gathering of information and project creation. Initial assessment of task at hand.

2. ANALYSES – Gathered information is processed, analysed and evaluated, partly on site.

3. BUSINESS CASE – The analyses result in advanced pay-back calculations, evaluating all sites – planned, under construction and existing.

4. PRESENTATION – The final report consists of findings and recommendations on reduced diesel consumption and improved operational profitability.

OUTCOME AND DELIVERABLES

A feasibility study will result in a complete analysis and a detailed report. The report will include an executive summary that will highlight the main issues and cost-savings that can be done.
Suggestions of trial site if included in the scope, normally the initial outcome, the second and third levels are focusing on the planned sites and existing sites respectively.
The report will include a list of proposed sites, to be converted to E-sites   , and their cost- and payback analyses serving as tools for decision. Recommendations and guidelines for future sites as well as general suggestions and advice related to alternative power solutions are also included.
