eSite Hybrid Power Systems


During its development, eSite x10 was taken through several phases of extremely rigorous testing by a leading independent European test lab, the likes of which no other hybrid power system has ever been subjected to.  These included, water, vibration, shock, heat, cold, humidity, radio, electromagnetic, electrical and fire safety, the list goes on…

The aim was to create the world’s first hybrid power system purpose-built from the individual component level as an outdoor unit – one that would be certified to comfortably take even the most challenging of environments in its stride.  The aim was fully achieved and the result is a product that takes international standards compliance to an entirely new level for hybrid power systems.

eSite x10 is built to the highest ETSI standards – just like active telecommunications equipment – making it the perfect companion for outdoor telecom sites.  eSite x10 is certified to ETSI standards in the areas of vibration and shock resistance, outdoor climate, and electromagnetic compliance (EMC).

eSite x10 is manufactured as a single unit that is CE-certified to avoid fire hazards and risks of electrical shock.  Note that this is very different from other hybrid power systems where CE-certified components may well be used, but are then assembled in to a cabinet without the final certification of the full hybrid power system.

eSite x10 is the first hybrid power system compliant with IEC standard “IEC 60950-22”, ensuring the highest level of personal electrical safety in outdoor environments. This is important in order to guarantee a safe site environment at all times for field personnel, site guards, etc.

eSite x10 is fully compliant with the European Union’s health and environment directives regarding product design and manufacturing.  REACH defines four processes that address registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals.  ROHS restricts the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
