CenturyLink Launches Ecuador Edge Data Centre

New site comes after 12 months of intense developments at CenturyLink, including the $34bn acquisition of Level 3, a reinforced data centre alliance with NetApp and the sale of its data centres to BC Partners, Medina Capital Advisors and Longview Asset Management.

US communications provider CenturyLink has opened the doors of its latest LATAM hosting facility built by Swedish manufacturer Flexenclosure.

The building has been erected in Quito, Ecuador, to offer colocation, hosting, cloud computing, communication and managed services to CenturyLink’s national and international corporate clients.

The first phase of the data centre, built to be earthquake-resistant, consists of a single-story 300KW facility.
